CPO Nimma

CPO Nimma is a Dutch collective of fifteen individuals developing sustainable housing in Nijmegen to address local affordability challenges through cooperative ownership. The group focuses on creating an inclusive community that integrates social care expertise with ecological responsibility while challenging conventional living norms.

• Projects: Developing eight biobased homes, including seven ground-level units and one apartment, located between the Krekelstraat and Heidebloemstraat in Nijmegen.
• Sustainability: Constructing nearly fully biobased residences designed to achieve an A++++ energy label while enhancing habitats for native wildlife.
• Values: Combining housing with social contribution by leveraging members' backgrounds in mental health, education, and care professions to improve community well-being.

The organization also explores innovative concepts such as cooperative grocery stores and modular construction methods to foster creative solutions for future living.
