AWEX is a Belgian public organization founded in 1998 that supports Walloon companies in exporting and facilitates foreign investment within Wallonia. Headquartered in Brussels and Namur, it serves as the unique contact point for international development through expert guidance and strategic networking across five continents.

• Services: Provides tailored export support, investor facilitation, regulatory advice, financial aid access, and specialized consulting services.
• Industries: Targets small-to-large enterprises across all sectors with a focus on innovation and future-oriented industries.
• Operations: Manages over 400 staff members through two central seats, four regional centers in Wallonia, and more than 80 economic advisors globally.
• Certifications: Maintains ISO 9001 certification since 2002 to ensure continuous improvement of its service quality.

The organization also runs the Explort program to train over 1,000 young people annually in international trade skills.
